There is so much we can do while waiting. One thing to do is to ponder God’s Sovereignty. Psalm 33 describes God this way:

He loves righteousness and justice; He gathers the waters of the sea into heaps; He used His words to Create; He is able to foil and thwart the plans of people; His purposes stand firm; His eyes are on us; He is especially looking for those whose hope is in His unfailing love.

He is the God of hope. Waiting is one pathway to His hope. Not as the world defines hope. But, as the people of God experience hope that is eternal and does not disappoint.
